Tristan Wade Winner

After three days of No Limit Hold'em, Tristan Wade emerged on top of a 303 player field to take home his first WSOP Circuit ring and adds $106,806 to his career tournament earnings by defeating David Diaz heads-up on Monday afternoon at the Palm Beach Kennel Club.

The final day saw three players come back to fight for a Circuit Main Event title and after Tom Midena was eliminated in third place, it was a battle between two bracelet winners for a Circuit ring. The two established pros combined for over $2.7 million in tournament earnings and was one of the more star-studded heads-up matches the Circuit has seen in recent years.

Diaz and only played for 20 minutes before Wade's two pair was bigger than Diaz's two pair to take a better than 5:1 chip lead. Just a few hands later, Diaz was all in with pocket jacks against Wade's   , but a king on the turn sealed the hand for Wade and gave him his first ring along with a six-figure score.

Tristan Wade raises to 80,000 on the button and David Diaz moves all in from the big blind. Wade calls and the cards are turned on their backs.

Wade tables    and needs to find a king against Diaz's   . The flop kept Diaz in the lead as the dealer spread a flop of    , but Wade found the   on the turn to put him in great shape.

Diaz needs to find a club or a jack on the river, but the dealer peels off the   on the river to give Wade his first Circuit ring and over $106,000 in prize money.

The flop comes     and Diaz checks. Wade makes it 50,000 sending the action back to Diaz. Diaz makes it 190,000. The dealer verifies the bet for Wade and he calls. The turn is the   and Diaz bets 450,000. Wade calls and they watch the   fall on the river.

Diaz checks and Wade bets 650,000. Diaz spends about a minute in the tank before check-raising all in and Wade immediately stands up while contemplating his decision.

"I said to myself if I bet this, I have to call this," said Wade. "Why wouldn't you bet the river? I thought you would bet the river if you had it."

Wade calls and Diaz tables   , giving him bottom two pair, but Wade tables   , good for a bigger two pair.

The dealer verifies Wade's stack and he has 1.925 million in chips left on the river and he takes a big chip lead over Diaz.

Tristan Wade limps in on the button and Tom Midena (pictured) completes from the small blind. David Diaz raises to 140,000 from the big blind and both Wade and Midena call.

The flop is     and action checks to Wade, who bets 280,000. Midena adjusts himself in his chair and takes the better part of a minute before announcing he is all in. Diaz quickly folds and Wade quickly calls.

Wade tables    and is in great shape against Midena's   . The turn is the   to give Midena a few more outs and any paint card on the river would give Midena the best hand, but the river is the   and Wade scoops the pot.

The dealer counts down both stacks and Wade has 1,450,000 in chips, which had Midena just barely covered. He is eliminated in third place and takes home just over $47,963, leaving David Diaz and Tristan Wade heads-up for the title.

In a heads-up pot, the flop reads     and Tom Midena leads for 65,000 from the big blind. Action is on chip leader David Diaz on the button and he calls.

Both players check the   turn.

The river falls the   and Midena leads again, this time for 120,000. Diaz reaches into his stack and cuts out some yellow 25,000 chips. He splashes two red chips on top of the yellow stack and pushes it in, raising to 260,000. Midena's cards hit the muck instantly.

David Diaz raises on the button to 80,000 and is three-bet by Tristan Wade from the small blind to 210,000. Tom Midena is in the big blind and goes into the tank for over a minute before pushing a big stack of yellow, 25,000 denomination chips with a few red, 5,000 denomination chips on top.

Diaz quickly folds and Wade asks for a count. Midena cold four-bets to 620,000 and Wade goes into the tank. He double checks his cards and caps them with a chip. After just under a minute of thought, he folds his hand and Midena scoops the pot.

Cards go in the air for the third and final day of the $1,675 Palm Beach Kennel Club Main Event at 1 p.m. Just three players remain including bracelet winners Tristan Wade (pictured) and David Diaz. Diaz leads the field with 2,825,000 of the 6,060,000 chips in play. Wade begins play second and Michigan pro Tom Midena is the table short stack.

Each player has navigated a decorated 303-entry field that included the likes of WSOP Main Event champions Jamie Gold and Greg Raymer, as well as bracelet winners Chris Dombrowski, Chance Kornuth and Ylon Schwartz. For their performance thus far, they've locked up $47,963, but all are just a few eliminations away from the $106,806 first prize, a Circuit gold ring and a berth in the season-ending National Championship.

Play kicks off with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and a 5,000 ante. Levels are now 75 minutes in length.
