Panja Lymswan - Winner Event #2 - $119,949

 

Panja Lymswan has bested a field of 1,035 players to become the newest Foxwoods World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP) ring winner, taking home $119,949.

Lymswan is originally from Bankok, Thailand, but moved to the United States 40 years ago, and lives in Quincy, MA. He spent seven years serving in the United States army, and learned to play poker nearly 30 years ago.

Lymswan is well known in the Foxwoods 2/5 Pot-Limit Omaha cash game, and the 5/10 No-Limit Hold'em, but said he rarely plays tournaments. Most of Lymswan's time is spent running two successful Thai food restaurants in the Cambridge, MA area.

Lymswam said that he was very excited to take down the biggest tournament cash of his poker career. He now leads the Foxwoods Casino Champion race, and sayid that he is going to try to play a few additional events so that he can secure the Foxwoods Casino Champion title, and the free seat into the WSOP $1,000,000 guaranteed prizepool bracelet event held each year in August.

Day 2 play has concluded in Event #2, the $580 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event. About an hour into the day the money bubble burst, leaving the final 135 players in the money and guaranteed at least $1,009.  The unofficial final table of ten was reached in the third to last level of the night, and it was Jean-Philip Maltais that had the chip lead heading into the home stretch. After three levels, the field was reduced to the final seven players. Those seven players will return tomorrow (Monday August 21st) at 12:00 p.m. to play down to a winner. Play will resume at level 30, with 40,000/80,000 blinds, and a 10,000 ante.

Jean-Philip Maltais - Chipleader of Final Table

Event #2, the $580 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event has reached the final table of ten, and the players have redrawn for their new seats at the unofficial final table. Players are currently in the middle of level 27, with 20,000/40,000 blinds, and a 5,000 ante. 

Jean-Philip Malrais is the chipleader of the final ten, with 4,195,000. All players are guaranteed at least $9,531, but all have their eye on the $119,141 top prize.

Michael Azzaro - Flight D Chipleader

The final flight of Event #2 has concluded, and it's Michael Azzaro that bagged the chip lead from this final flight, ending with 289,000. All players will return to play Day 2 tomorrow (Sunday August 20th) at 12:00 p,m.

While it was Michael Azzaro that bagged up the Flight D lead, Andrew Kloc is hot on his heels, coming in second with 270,000. Rounding out the top three is Dorian Godin, with 175,000.

Level 9 has come and gone, which means that registration is now officially closed. The final flight of the $580 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry Event #2 drew a total of 608 entries.  Add this to the other entries from Flights A-C, this event far surpassed the $500,000 guarantee!

JeWook Oh - Chip Leader of Flight C

The third of four total starting flights has concluded, and it's none other than JeWook Oh that leads the field. Flight C saw a total of 232 entries, with 32 making it through to Day 2. Those 32 players will join the 28 that made it through from Flight A, the 39 from Flight B, and any that make it through in tomorrow's Flight D, and will return to play Day 2 on Sunday August 20th at 12:00 p.m.  

Foxwoods regular JeWook Oh ended Flight C at the top with 216,000 but coming in a close second is Bill Sotiropoulous with 212,500. Rounding out the top three is Joseph Chividian with 171,000.

Other notables to make it through to Day 2 from Flight C include: Michael Guzzardi (116,500), Solomon Yi (111,500), Michael Nye (91,500), Samuel Taylor (96,500), and Matthew Wantman (25,000).

Registration is closed for Flight C of the $580 no-limit hold'em re-entry event #2. The third of four starting flights drew 232 entries.  Yesterday's Flight A drew 252 entries, and this morning's Flight B drew 258 entries, bringing the total to 742 entries for the first three flights.  At the end of Flight A, only 28 players remained. Their names and chip counts can be found by clicking THIS LINK. Fred Paradis led the final 39 players from Flight B. The Flight B chipcounts can be found by clicking THIS LINK.

Any player making it through to Day 2 will return at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday August 20th.

Anyone that does not make it through to Day 2 in this evening's flight has one last chance tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 11 a.m.

After fifteen levels of play, Flight B had concluded. The second of the four starting flights saw a total of 258 entries, with 39 making it through to Day 2. Those 39 players will join the 28 that made it through from Flight A, and any that make it through in Flights C and D, and will return to play Day 2 on Sunday August 20th at 12:00 p.m.  

Foxwoods regular Fred Paradis ended Flight B with the chip lead, bagging up 183,500Natale Kuey ended in second with 174,000, and Anthony Vitone bagged up third in chips with 170,500.

The second of four starting flights drew 258 entries.  Yesterday's Flight A drew 252 entries, bringing the total to 510 entries for the first two flights.  At the end of Flight A, only 28 players remained. At the end of level 15 (~7:30 p.m.), the Flight B players will bag up, and will return to play Day 2 on Sunday August 20th at 12:00 p.m.

Anyone that does not make it through to Day 2 in this morning's Flight B has another chance tonight at 5:00 p.m. in Flight C. The final Flight D will be Saturday at 11 a.m.

Zach Donovan ended Flight A with the chip lead, having bagged 344,500. His closest competitor from the Flight A field is Ralph Macri who ended with 266,000. Other notables to make it through include Johanssy Joseph (247,500), and Bob Ricciuti (36,500).

Today's survivors will join with any players that bag in the final three flights A, B, and C, and will return to play Day 2 on Sunday August 19, 2017 at 1pm.

Level nine has just begun, which means that registration is now officially closed for the first flight of the $580 no-limit hold'em re-entry event. 

There were a total of 252 entries in Day 1A. Players will play a total of 15 levels before bagging and tagging for the night. 

At this moment there are currently 102 players remaining with an average stack of 29,647 at 300/600 blinds with a 100 ante.
