Thunder Valley Circuit starts Thursday and features 13 events with over $1 million in guaranteed prize money.
Lincoln, California (27 Sep 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Thunder Valley Casino for the second time in 2022. The series will start Thursday, September 29th and run until Monday, October 10th. The second Thunder Valley Circuit stop of the year will feature 13 events with over $1 million in guaranteed prize money.
The series will start out strong with an event that always draws a large starting field - the $400 Opener. The $400 No-Limit Hold’em event is boosted with a $250,000 guarantee and is stretched out over four starting flights. Flight one starts on Thursday, followed by two flights on Friday and Flight D starting Saturday, October 1st. Other highlights on the schedule include the $400 Monster Stack event (October 5th) and the $1,125 Last Call (October 9th).
The marquee event of the series will get underway Friday, October 7th. The players participating in the $1,700 Main Event will be competing for $500,000 in guaranteed prize money - a guarantee that has been covered all previous Thunder Valley Circuit Main Events.
The Main Event has two starting flights: Friday October 7th and Saturday October 8th at 11:00 a.m. Victor Paredes took down the WSOP Circuit Main Event earlier this year and will sit as the reigning champion until this year’s Main event concludes, on Sunday, October 9th.
Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022/23 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
