NEXT STOP LAKE TAHOE
Lake Tahoe isn't the World Series of Poker Circuit's biggest stop of the season.  It doesn't have the biggest prize pools.  There aren't long lines.  Finding a parking place and booking a hotel room is easy.

However, of all this season's 18 tournament stops, Lake Tahoe has consistently proven to be one of the most popular attractions.  It's a frequent repeat destination for poker players and (often) their companions – who are looking for indoor and outdoor alternatives that exist nowhere else on the poker tournament trail.

Indeed, Lake Tahoe is a place like no other.  It's the largest alpine lake in North America.  Located on the south shores of the vast reservoir, the Harvey's Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino is located just steps away from the popular Heavenly Ski Village.  The ski season opens sometime in November depending on snowfall.

But even without the skiing being open, visitors can still take an exciting  gondola ride up the north face of the mountain and overlook one of the most breathtaking views anywhere in the American West.  On one side of the mountain is the golden state of California.  On the other side is mountainous Nevada.  Then way down below, lies the pristine turquoise blue of spectacular Lake Tahoe.  It's a spectacular sight.

Down on the village, which lies smack dab on the California-Nevada border, Harvey's Lake Tahoe offers everything one might expect at a major Las Vegas resort.  Fantastic restaurants, a comedy club, round the clock gaming, and WSOP Circuit action – in addition to plenty of cash games.

This year's WSOP Circuit action starts Thursday, November 8th.  The 12-gold ring tournament series runs through Monday, November 19th.  Buy-ins range from $365 up to the Main Event Championship, which costs $1,675.  However, satellites and nightly tournaments cost as little as $65.

As was the case in the last two WSOP Circuit stops – held at Horseshoe Chicago and River Rock (Vancouver) – the Main Event final table will be livestreamed by ESPN3 and available for viewing on WSOP.com.  The final table will feature commentary from host and poker pro Bernard Lee.  Players' hole cards will be shown, so the stream will feature the broadcast on a 30-minute delay.

This is the sixth WSOP Circuit stop of the season.  Already, many poker players from all over the country have begun traveling from one Circuit to the next.  Most hope not only to win gold rings and prize money, but also accumulate points to earn a seat in this year's WSOP National Championship presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof.  The top 100 players from this year's WSOP Circuit will earn paid seats into the National Championship, to be played at season's end (May 2013), in New Orleans.

The Main Event champion from Harvey's Lake Tahoe is Bryan Schulz, from Carpentersville, IL.  He collected $111,812 plus his first gold ring.  There were 327 entries.  The reigning Casino Champion at this stop is Michael Rosenbach.
