Council Bluffs, IA (April 11, 2014) — It was barely two weeks ago when Alex Masek earned his record eighth Circuit ring in St. Louis. Now, just a few tournaments later, he finds himself at the final table of the opening $365 event at Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs in position for a record-extending ninth.
Masek made his way through the 183-player starting field and finds himself ranked fourth among the nine remaining players in Iowa. If he's able to overcome the chip lead of Jeff Esposito he'll earn his ninth ring and extend his all-time lead to two over Chris Reslock.
Cards go in the air for Day 2 at 2 p.m. CT with 20 minutes left in the 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante level.
