The WSOP Circuit heads to Harrah's Atlantic City for the last events of 2014.
Atlantic City, N.J. (December 8, 2014) --
Harrah's Atlantic City will hosts the World Series of Poker Circuit beginning Thursday, December 11 and running through Monday, December 22. It is the 10th of 21 stops on the 2014-2015 WSOP Circuit schedule and it is the last stop of 2014. There will be 12 gold ring events including the $1,675 Main Event.
The Main Event begins Friday, December 19 and will conclude Monday, December 22 along with the series. It features two starting flights beginning on consecutive days at 12 p.m. Players are allowed a total of two entries into the event that can be used in any combination of Flights A and B — that is, A-A, B-B, or A-B. The winner of the Main Event will not only receive a gold ring, but also a free entry into this year's National Championship.
Last year's Main Event drew 578 entries creating a prize pool of $867,000. The winner of the event and the first place prize money of $182,070 was Joseph LaPinta. Other Atlantic City Circuit Main Event winners include Joseph McKeehen who won it 2012/2013 season. McKeehen finished runner-up in this year's first ever Monster Stack tournament at the WSOP in Las Vegas. He earned $820,863 for his runner-up finish and the buy-in was just $1,500. John Racener won the Atlantic City Circuit Main Event in 2007. He finished runner-up in the 2010 Main Event at the WSOP in Las Vegas.

The player who earns the most points throughout the 12 gold ring event will earn the title Casino Champion and will join the winner of the Main Event at this year's National Championship. The National Championship will award the first gold bracelet of 2015 and have an up-to $2 million prize pool.
