POTAWATOMI CIRCUIT PREVIEW

Potawatomi hosts third-consecutive WSOP Circuit with $750,000 Main Event guarantee.

Milwaukee, Wis. (January 29, 2019) -- The World Series of Poker has now completed 16 of the 28 Circuit series thus far during the 2018-2019 season with the conclusion of the Horseshoe Tunica stop on Monday. The seventeenth series on the docket will be held at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It will be the third-consecutive Circuit hosted by Potawatomi, which joined the WSOP scene in 2017.

In all, 13 gold ring events will be held throughout a 12-day span. Thursday, January 31st marks the first day of the Circuit series, getting things started at 11:00 a.m. with a one-day No-Limit Hold'em tournament. Later, at 4:00 p.m., a much more elongated event commences.

Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em is scheduled as a four-day endeavor with four separate starting flights. The multi-flight event allows unlimited re-entry during the registration period, and features a $200,000 guaranteed prizepool, up $50,000 from last year.

The Monster Stack, beginning Wednesday, February 6th, also sports a guarantee, equaling $100,000. A third, and final, guaranteed prizepool stands at $750,000 and is attached to the most prestigious tournament of the series, the $1,700 Main Event, which begins Friday, February 8th.

Last year's Main Event at Potawatomi was taken down by Keven Stammen, owner of a WSOP gold bracelet. Stammen defeated 604 entrants to capture $190,265 and add a gold ring to his trophy case.

The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2019 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prizepool, as well as a prestigious gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More information on the Global Casino Championship leaderboard can be found on WSOP.com.

Below is a list of all official gold ring events that will run during the Potawatomi stop.
