Choctaw Durant Circuit series returns with 16 ring events and $1,600,000 in guarantees.
Durant, Oklahoma (28 October, 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is back in Choctaw Durant for a second time this Circuit season. The November series in Oklahoma features sixteen ring events between November 1st and November 13th, and over $1,600,000 in guaranteed prize money will be awarded.
Action begins Tuesday, with a $130 Seniors event, followed by the first official ring event - Event #1: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha. The PLO event is a two-day affair with two starting flights and is boosted with a $50,000 guarantee.
A classic WSOP Circuit event, the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack will have cards in the air Wednesday, at 10:00 AM. Players will start with twice the normal starting stack, and this event also features $50,000 in guarnateed prize money.
Following the Monster Stack, will be the multi-flight, re-entry ring event, coined "The Gargantuan". The Gargantuan entails three separate starting flights, which will run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, consecutively. The event has a $200,000 guarantee that is expected to get crushed, as the event drew a total of 1,739 entries last year, generating a total prizepool of $573,870.
The marquee event of the series will get underway Friday, November 11th. The $1,700 MAIN EVENT is boosted with a whooping $1 Million guarantee, and will have cards in the air Friday at noon.
The Main Event has two starting flights: Friday, November 11th, and Saturday, November 2nd. Danny Marx took down the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Choctaw earlier this year, and will sit as the reigning champion until this year’s Main event concludes, on Sunday, November 13th.
Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022/23 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
