$1,125 Ring Event Boasts Six-Figure Prize Pool, Winner Pockets an Even $30,000
Event #9 of the Palm Beach Kennel Club Circuit drew a field of 100 players -- slightly more than last year's field of 95. The $100,000 prize pool pays the top 12 finishers at least $2,089. The tournament's winner, expected to take his or her throne tomorrow, earns $30,000, 50 points toward the Casino Championship and a WSOP Circuit gold ring.
Full prize structure:
The clock currently reads 72 players remaining toward the end of Level 7. Notables still alive include defending champion Kristopher Bradshaw, bracelet winner David Diaz, four-time ring winner Sam Panzica, three-time ring winner, Daniel Gilmer as well as ring winners Brian Reinert and Brandon Newsome.
Day 1 is scheduled to log 21 levels before play wraps at roughly 2:15 a.m. local time. We will update you again as the event gets a little deeper into the structure.
