Half of the Day 2 Field Gone - 48 Remain
Event #2 has whittled it's way down to the final 48 players and they are well into the money now with the top 81 spots getting paid. At this point, all 48 players a guaranteed a minimum payday of $711. Today's winner will take home $43,860, a WSOP Circuit gold ring and 50 Casino Championship points.
Three-time Circuit gold ring winner, Robert Hankins (pictured), started the day in the top 10 chip counts. He continues to trend upward and has a chip stack just shy of 200,000. Right now the average chip stack is around 150,000 so he is still well ahead of the field. Joshua Reichard, who also has three gold rings to his name, is still alive as well, but is one of the shortest stacks in the room.
