Brett Murray Leads the Way at the Final Table of the Thunder Valley Main Event

Brett Murray

It's time for the final day of the Thunder Valley $1,700 Main Event. Bringing the chip lead into the final day of play is Brett Murray with 3,500,000, more than a million chips more than his nearest competitor. Murray used his large stack to apply a lot of pressure on the final table bubble and he was able to chip up nicely near the end of the night. Murray is no stranger to success on the circuit and he's already has two circuit rings on his resume, a win at Thunder Valley would just be another accomplishment for the young pro. He's trialed by Viet Tran who currently sits in second place with 2,335,000 chips.

Players are currently guaranteed a payday of at least $14,024, but they are all looking for more. First place for this event comes with a prize of $151,145 and a circuit gold ring, but along with it it also give a seat in the Global Casino Championship at the end of this year's circuit.

The final nine will return on Monday at 12 p.m. where they will play down to a winner. Play ended right at the end of level 26 on Day 2, so players will return for the final day starting right at the top of level 27 with blinds of 25,000/50,000 with and ante of 5,000. Here's a look at how the final ten stack up:

Seat 1: Brett Murray - 3,500,000 (70 bb)
Seat 2: Paul Richardson - 1,635,000 (33 bb)
Seat 3: Tommy Chen - 600,000 (12 bb)
Seat 4: Adam Duong - 825,000 (17 bb)
Seat 5: Jason Mayer - 720,000 (14 bb)
Seat 6: Eyyal Altar - 1,215,000 (24 bb)
Seat 7: Viet Tran - 2,335,000 (47 bb)
Seat 8: Marlon Nonales - 710,000 (14 bb)
Seat 9: Stuart Tuvey - 2,280,000 (46 bb)

WSOP.com will return with updates from throughout the final table so make sure to stay tuned to see the exciting conclusion of the event.
