Ron Mantzur and a Large Group of WSOP Crushers Bag Flight C and Advance To Day 2
While we hate being biased, Flight C of the Choctaw WSOPC Main Event was likely the best yet! 464 entrants battled on the felt within Choctaw’s Grand Theater, and when the dust settled only 47 found bags for Day 2. The impressive turnout for Flight C not only drew some incredible poker players, but also generated a flight prizepool worth over $700,000. With the prizepool of the three flights combined, the $1,000,000 guarantee will certainly be surpassed.

Serving as Flight C chip leader heading into Day 2 will be Ron Mantzur (pictured above). Battling with WSOPC ring winner Eric Bunch for much of the day, Bunch would eventually relinquish the title of Flight C chip leader to Mantzur, who would lead the field all the way to the end bagging 968,000.
Building up his stack towards the end of the day, four-time WSOPC ring winner Ryan Van Sanford (pictured below) ended the day second chips and just a little behind Mantzur, bagging a sizeable 951,000 stack. While Van Sanford certainly has plenty of WSOPC rings in his jewelry box, the poker pro will look to add a WSOPC Main Event banner to his list of accolades.

Joining Mantzur and Van Sanford for Day 2 of the Choctaw WSOPC Main Event will be the following players of note: four-time WSOP bracelet winner Brad Ruben (901,000 chip stack) WSOPC ring winner Eric Bunch (640,000), WSOPC ring winner Rania Nasreddine (423,000), Choctaw WSOPC Main Event champion Dustin Schoonover (358,000), WSOP bracelet winner David Diaz (608,000),WSOPC ring winner Chris Vickrey (945,000), WSOP bracelet winner Cord Garcia (920,000), and WSOP bracelet winner Chris Staats (629,000).
A complete list of chip counts along with the table draw can be found under the REPORTS tab.
Players from all three flights will converge and battle it out on the felt starting at 12 p.m. local time on Sunday, November 5th.
