Brian Stine Gets First Ever Cash in Seniors Event Win

This very series there have been players that have won their first WSOP ring after multiple years of trying. Brian Stine thought that seemed a little too long and opted to bypass the line.
The start of Event #14: $400 Seniors No Limit Holdem kicked off with a line out the door of players waiting to register. When registration finally came to a close, a total of 385 seniors took their shot at the World Series of Poker Gold Ring. 58 places made the money with a min-cash coming in at $606. However, all the players had their eye on the $26,312 first-place prize.
When the 23 players that found a bag returned for Day 2 Brian Stine was comfortably in second-place in chips but the day was a grind. He would battle but by the time the field redrew for a final table he was sitting in dead last. Undeterred by his chip deficit, Stine worked past one pay jump to the next. He continued to grind until he found himself heads up with Keith Doering. They played heads up for the better part of an hour but the very last chip would be pushed to Stine when the last card fell. For many players, winning their first ring would be the most memorable part of this experience, but Brian would not only take down his first ring, he would also score his literal first cash ever! That's right...first cash, first Hendon Mob entry, first ring.

Winners Reaction:
Brian was so excited after his win that he needed to take a walk with his friends who stayed on his rail for the whole final table. Afterwards he had this to say. "This is our guy's trip every year, coming out to Vegas. So we decided to enter the seniors tournament. Didn't go very well for the first buy and I decided to go ahead and rebuy. Now I got a ring and a first place in the seniors win."

As mentioned above this is the first-ever live cash to Stine's name. He mentioned that he gave it a couple tries before today but was locked in for his victory. "This is my first cash ever. This is the my second time playing on the WSOP tour. I played at Cherokee, North Carolina when the WSOP was rolling through there but overall this is the first cash."
Stine mentioned that this summers slat of events at the WSOP is very much in play. He would like to continue to grind and improve but he said that his quick rise into the understanding of tournament poker comes from an adherence to as simple strategy that he follows. "Practice the three P's...Position, Patience, and Player". He said these were the main points that he observed in tons of different training material he has gone over and it paid off in spade here today!
Lastly, Stine jokingly said that him and his three dedicated rail birds are going to "get stupid" with a night on the town but quickly clarified that just meant a celebratory dinner and a few drinks.

Congratulations to Brian Stine on the early success and we hope to see your name more often!
