Day 3 of The Main Event Begins at 12:00 PM
900 is a fun number for any poker tournament. Tables are nine-handed, there is a nice round number, and it just so happens to be exactly the field size for the WSOPC Hammond's crown jewl tournament of the series. Just 6 remain with the title in mind, the ring and the massive first place prize of $228,398.
Four of the six; Evan Bethyo (15,265,000), Joe Batterman (7,085,000), Scott Wright (3,175,000), Xing He, are looking for their first piece of WSOP jewelry, while the Minnesota duo of John Reading (4,775,000) and Rich Alsup (3,100,000) each have bracelets. While Day 1 was focused on advancing, Day 2 on surviving, Day 3 has a much shorter and simpler word. Win.
