Chris Quackenbush wins his first WSOP ring in the Double Stack

Chris Quackenbush secured his first-ever World Series of Poker Circuit ring with a strong showing in Event #12: $400 No Limit Hold’em Double Stack at the World Series of Poker Circuit at Horseshoe Las Vegas. The event drew 473 entries, generating a $156,090 prize pool. After two days of play, Quackenbush walked away with $29,602 and the WSOPC gold ring.

The final table saw Quackenbush enter as the chip leader, and he never looked back. Peter Dae put up a fight but ultimately had to settle for second place, earning $19,727.

Final Table Results

  1. Christophe Quackenbush - $29,602

Winner’s Reaction

After his win, Quackenbush shared his excitement: “Really, really excited, very happy.” When asked about the final table, he explained how his chip lead and the tournament’s structure helped him stay in control. “There were 45-minute levels, which gives you time to navigate the field and make the right decisions.”

Once heads-up play began, Quackenbush said he took advantage of his opponent’s overly aggressive style. “He was too aggressive, and I took advantage of that. He went all-in with queen-deuce for 45 big blinds—you just don’t do that.”

This win adds to a successful run for Quackenbush, who recently chopped a $400 event in Blackhawk for $33,000. He’s already looking forward to celebrating with his wife, saying, “Might take the wife on a vacation somewhere nice.”

Despite the big win, Quackenbush isn’t sticking around for the Main Event. “I got five kids to get home to,” he said with a laugh.

Congratulations on the first of many, Chris!
