Day 2 of Event #15: $1,700 No Limit Hold'em Main Event at the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Las Vegas saw the field of 135 returning players trimmed down to just 11 as they bagged up their chips in anticipation of the final day. With a total of 774 entries generating a prize pool of $1,172,610, only 117 players would make the money, making for an intense early portion of the day as short stacks fought to survive the bubble.

The Road to the Final 11

Several notable players who made Day 2 but were eliminated before reaching the final stages included Darren Rabinowitz, Ari Engel, Francis Anderson, Ryan Leng, Michael Wang, Conrad Simpson, James Collopy, and Mike Holtz. As the day progressed, the competition remained fierce, with several lead changes and big hands shaping the outcome.

Leading the pack heading into the final day is John Longowa, a two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner, who bagged an impressive 8,020,000 in chips. Right on his heels is Shannon Shorr, a seasoned professional and two-time WSOP bracelet winner, sitting with 7,815,000. With extensive tournament experience and deep runs in major events, Shorr will be a formidable opponent as he chases his first WSOP Circuit ring. Seasoned pro Michael Berk will also look to extend his recent hot streak with his first piece of WSOP hardware.
