Day 2 of Event #15: $1,700 No Limit Hold'em Main Event at the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Las Vegas saw the field of 135 returning players trimmed down to just 11 as they bagged up their chips in anticipation of the final day. With a total of 774 entries generating a prize pool of $1,172,610, only 117 players would make the money, making for an intense early portion of the day as short stacks fought to survive the bubble.

Several notable players who made Day 2 but were eliminated before reaching the final stages included Darren Rabinowitz, Ari Engel, Francis Anderson, Ryan Leng, Michael Wang, Conrad Simpson, James Collopy, and Mike Holtz.
