Gladys Landegger took down Event #11: $300 No Limit Hold’em Ladies Event at the WSOP Circuit at Horseshoe Las Vegas, securing her second career Circuit ring. The tournament drew 177 entries, creating a $42,480 prize pool. Landegger earned $10,189 for the win, while Louise Francoeur finished as runner-up for $6,572.

Landegger, originally from Los Angeles, won her first ring at The Bike but has called Las Vegas home for the last three years. She plays tournaments six days a week, sticking strictly to No-Limit Hold’em, and has proved once again that her experience pays off.

Final Table Results

  1. Gladys Landegger - $10,189
  2. Louise Francoeur - $6,572
  3. Hayley Hanna - $4,384
  4. Lisa Childers - $3,027
  5. Tammy Ehrhart - $2,166
  6. Stephanie Hagberg - $1,609
  7. Jane Bahk - $1,241
  8. Angie Tran - $997
  9. Stephanie West - $835
  10. Joy Coblentz - $730

Winner’s Reaction

After securing her second WSOP Circuit ring, Gladys Landegger admitted the win caught her by surprise. “I was playing for second when we were three-handed,” she said. “This is unexpected.”

One of the biggest turning points came when she shoved pocket fours preflop against Ace-King suited. The flop was dangerous, showing Queen-Jack with two spades, giving her opponents a ton of outs. But the board ran clean, and she suddenly found herself with a big boost in chips. “The flop was horrendous,” she said. “She had like 20 million outs. Somehow, I survived.”

Even with that big hand, her path to victory wasn’t easy. The final table was a grind, and she had to battle through several swings in chips. She doubled up two different opponents and was struggling by the time heads-up play began. “At one point, she took the lead, and I really thought I was playing for second,” Landegger admitted. “But things finally went my way.”

She had nothing but respect for Louise Francoeur, who pushed her to the limit in a long heads-up match. “She’s a very, very good player. She knew what she was doing,” Landegger said.

Now, with another ring in her collection, Landegger plans to get some much-needed rest. “I’m exhausted,” she laughed. “I need a break today, but I’ll be back for the Seniors event tomorrow.”
