WSOPC Event #5: $600 No-Limit Hold'em

Jesse Jones returned to Day 2 of the $600 No Limit Hold'em event with the chip lead after wanting to play it out last night. Instead of resting up for a Day 2, Jones wandered across the casino, found a juicy cash game and played nearly all night. Short on sleep, he was still the first player to arrive for the final table and was the last player to leave after winning his second ring and $15,748.

"I feel good," he said. "I wanted to play it out last night but they didn't. I played some cash last night."

"I'm going to celebrate by jumping in the Six Max," he added.

Richard Hughes bowed out in third place after several orbits of action but heads-up play between Jones and John Johnson lasted a single hand.

Following his win, Jones didn't even take a bathroom break - he was already finding his seat in the Six Max event before we could rack up the chips and put the flash away.

The event flirted with ending in a single day but when 19 levels came and went, three players remained in action. They'll get some rest, return Monday at 1:00pm to play down to a winner.

Jesse Jones leads with 1.605 million, Richard Hughes trails with 730,000 and John Johnson returns as the short stack with 365,000. If the final table plays out by the numbers it could be an early day but if either of the shorter stacks double once or twice, Jones could be on the ropes.
